In 1994, he joined Samsung Medical Center when it first opened. He also underwent training at the Mayo Clinic in the United States. At Samsung Medical Center, Park gained comprehensive experience in hospital operations, serving in key roles such as Director of the Information Strategy Office, Director of the QI Office, and Head of Planning and Strategy. These roles paved the way for his eventual appointment as hospital president. He was appointed President in 2021 and was reappointed in January 2025. He is a leading expert in the field of cardiovascular disease. He has served as Chairperson of the Korean Society of Echocardiography, Head of the Smart Health Research Committee of the Korean Society of Cardiology, and Vice President of the Korean Hospital Association.
