He went on to serve as CEO of Global Biz, overseeing SK E&C’s overseas business. In 2019, he was appointed President and CEO of SK E&C and was reappointed to the position.

In 2022, he became CEO of SK Discovery, and in 2023, he was appointed President and CEO of SK Chemicals.

He is known for his bold personality and decisiveness. He is friendly and approachable with junior staff, even offering cigarettes in casual conversation.
