He served as Head of the Foundation Headquarters and Standing Director of the Inje Educational Foundation before being inaugurated as Chairman of the foundation in February 2025.

The Inje Educational Foundation, along with its affiliates Inje University and four Paik Hospitals, has shifted to an owner-management system.

He aims to lead Inje University to become an innovation-driven university that advances into the region and the world based on benevolent medical practice and virtue.
