Choi Won-hyok is the President and CEO of HMM.

After graduating from Hanseong High School, he majored in Applied Statistics at Sungkyunkwan University.

He began his career at 3M Korea, later moving to the French cosmetics company L’Oréal and logistics company CJ Logistics, before joining Bumhan Pantos (now LX Pantos) as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO).

He was appointed CEO in 2015 and led Bumhan Pantos until 2023. In March 2025, he became CEO of HMM.

He has spent about 40 years in the global logistics industry. During his eight years as CEO of LX Pantos, he expanded its global logistics business, earning recognition for his management skills and organizational leadership.

He has also served as Vice Chairman of the Korea Employers Federation.

He is known for his reserved personality.
