Han Chae-yang is the President and CEO of E-Mart Inc.

He has focused on boosting E-Mart’s profitability through offline integration synergies.

He was born in Seoul in August 1965.

He graduated from Mapo High School and earned a degree in Business Administration from Yonsei University.

He began his career at S-Oil and later worked at SK Telecom, before joining Shinsegae Group as a manager in the Business Support Office.

He went on to serve as Managing Director of the Management Team at Shinsegae Group’s Strategy Office, Head of Management Support Division and Administration at E-Mart, and Executive Vice President in charge of management at Shinsegae Group’s Strategy Office. In 2019, he was appointed CEO of Chosun Hotels & Resorts.

In 2023, he became the first executive in Shinsegae Group to oversee the integrated offline operations of E-Mart, E-Mart Everyday, and E-Mart 24. Since 2024, he has been serving as CEO of E-Mart Inc.

Within Shinsegae Group, he is recognized as a leading financial expert. He is also known for his meticulous approach, personally reviewing the products to be offered to customers each month.
