Han Sang-yun is the President and CEO of BMW Group Korea.
In 2023, he led the company to reclaim the No. 1 position in South Korea’s imported car market from Mercedes-Benz Korea after eight years.
He was born on October 11, 1966.
He graduated from the University of Technology Sydney with a degree in Materials Science.
Han began his career at Ssangbangwool Development and later worked at Saab Korea and GM Korea as Marketing & PR Manager and Marketing & Dealer Development Manager.
He joined BMW Korea, where he served as Executive Director of Marketing and Senior Executive Director of Sales before being appointed President and CEO of BMW Malaysia.
In April 2019, he was appointed President and CEO of BMW Group Korea.
Han is a veteran automotive marketing expert with 30 years of experience.
He is known as one of the key talents nurtured by Chairman Kim Hyo-joon and was often referred to as “Post Kim Hyo-joon.”
