Hong Jung-hyuk is the President in charge of new businesses at BGF.
He also serves as CEO of BGF Eco Materials, BGF Eco Solution, and Fluorin Korea.
Overseeing the materials division, he is responsible for driving new growth engines for the BGF Group.
Born on December 10, 1983, he is the second son of Hong Suk-cho, Chairman of BGF Group.
He majored in Decision Science at the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University in the United States and earned his MBA from Keio Business School in Japan.
He began his career at Nexon as a Global Development Manager and later worked at Mitsubishi in Japan and KPMG in Singapore.
He joined BGF, led by his father, as Head of the New Business Development Office (Executive Director) and was appointed CEO of J Eco Cycle.
He later became CEO of KOPLA, which BGF had acquired, and in 2023, after being promoted to President in charge of new businesses at BGF, he was also appointed CEO of BGF Eco Materials.
Together with his elder brother, Hong Jung-kuk, Vice Chairman and CEO of BGF, he is overseeing the group’s management succession process.
