Jeon Byung-woo is the Head of the Healthcare Business Unit (BU) at Samyang Foods and Head of Strategy at Samyang Round Square.

He is tasked with proving his management capabilities as a third-generation owner by discovering new growth drivers for Samyang Foods.

Born on September 15, 1994, he graduated from Columbia University in the United States with a degree in philosophy and joined Samyang Foods immediately afterward.

Although he initially planned to gain experience at another company before beginning his management training at Samyang Foods, he is believed to have joined early due to management risks involving his parents, both members of the owner family.

At Samyang Foods, he has served in key positions across the overseas business, strategic planning, and strategic operations divisions before becoming head of the new business division.

He played a central role in designating healthcare as the company’s next growth engine. Since Samyang Foods reorganized and launched its Healthcare BU in May 2024, he has been directly leading the division and focusing on delivering tangible results.

He is recognized for his strong global business acumen and is often regarded as one of the most fluent foreign language speakers among owner families in the food industry.
