Jeon Gun-sik is the CEO and President of Hanil Hyundai Cement. He also concurrently serves as the CEO and President of Hanil Cement.
He is focused on enhancing synergy between the group’s two key subsidiaries, Hanil Cement and Hanil Hyundai Cement.
He was born on July 12, 1965 (lunar calendar) in Okcheon, North Chungcheong Province.
Jeon graduated from Okcheon High School in North Chungcheong and studied mineral resources engineering at Hanyang University.
He joined Hanil Cement in 1991 and built a broad career across production, planning, and management—excluding sales—serving as Head of Production Planning at the Danyang Plant, Head of Management Control, Deputy Plant Manager at Danyang, and Head of Corporate Planning.
In 2012, he was appointed CEO of Hanil Networks. After returning to Hanil Cement, he held key roles including Head of Corporate Planning, Head of Finance, and Head of Corporate Management. In 2017, he led the acquisition process and, after the deal, served as Executive Vice President of Hanil Hyundai Cement.
In 2018, following the group’s transition to a holding company structure, he was named CEO of the newly established Hanil Holdings. He was also appointed CEO of both Hanil Cement and Hanil Hyundai Cement.
He currently serves as Chairman of the Korea Cement Association.
Jeon is a “true Hanil man,” having worked solely within the Hanil Cement Group for over 30 years.
