Kim Hwan-sik is the Chairman and CEO of Hanjung NCS.

He was born in 1958 in Yeongcheon, North Gyeongsang Province.

He graduated from Gyeongbuk Technical High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Kyungil University. He later obtained a master’s degree in personnel management from the Graduate School of Business at Kyungpook National University and a doctorate in business administration from the graduate school of Kyungil University.

After working for eight years as a local government official in North Gyeongsang Province, he founded Korea Small Business Consulting in 1991, marking the start of his consulting career. In 1995, he launched Hanjung, the predecessor of Hanjung NCS.

The company started as a manufacturer of internal combustion engine auto parts but has since transformed into a specialist in electric vehicle components and cooling systems for energy storage systems (ESS).

Hanjung NCS has established production facilities in the United States and supplies assembled products across Asia, including China, through its Chinese subsidiary. The company aims to overcome U.S. tariff barriers while also achieving localization in China.

He served as the third chairman of the KONEX Association.

He is also a published poet who made his literary debut in 1995.
