Life Summary
Kim Jong-ho is the CEO and President of Hanwha Asset Management.

He is currently focused on strengthening the company’s competitiveness in the exchange-traded fund (ETF) business, which is considered a core growth engine for asset management firms.

Born on October 24, 1970, in Seoul, Kim graduated from Myeonmok High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Seoul National University.

He went on to receive a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in real estate from Harvard University.

Kim began his career at Hanwha Life Insurance in the Strategic Investment Division, where he first established ties with Hanwha Group. He later joined Korea Investment Corporation (KIC), where he held several key leadership roles, including Head of Real Estate and Infrastructure, Head of Private Equity, Head of Alternative Investments, and Head of Future Strategy.

In August 2024, Kim returned to Hanwha Group as President and Head of Management at Hanwha Asset Management. Just one month later, in September 2024, he was appointed CEO.

Widely recognized as an expert in private equity and alternative investments, Kim now faces the challenge of enhancing synergies across Hanwha Group’s financial affiliates—such as Hanwha Life Insurance—while also expanding the company’s global presence.
