Kim Jong-seob is the CEO of EcoPro HN.

He is focusing on diversifying the business portfolio with the goal of achieving KRW 1 trillion (US$ 0.7 billion) in revenue by 2028.

He was born on February 3, 1961.

He graduated from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Soongsil University and earned both his master’s and doctoral degrees in chemical engineering from KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology).

At Cheil Industries (now Samsung SDI), he served as head of the semiconductor materials research center and head of the Gumi plant in the electronic materials division.

After the merger of Cheil Industries and Samsung C&T, he worked at Samsung SDI’s electronic materials division, serving as head of the separator business team and head of the battery materials team.

In 2018, he was appointed CEO of STM, an affiliate of Samsung SDI.

After joining EcoPro as head of the development and production division, he moved to EcoPro HN, where he was appointed CEO.

He is a materials expert with a background at Samsung SDI.

As the first head of EcoPro HN, he has led the environmental solutions business, which is the foundation of the EcoPro Group.
