Kim Seul-ah is the CEO of Kurly.
She was born on June 16, 1983, in Ulsan.
She graduated from Korean Minjok Leadership Academy and majored in political science at Wellesley College, a private women’s college in the United States.
She worked in fixed income at Goldman Sachs before moving to McKinsey & Company.
After working at Singapore’s state-owned investment company Temasek Holdings and consulting firm Bain & Company, she founded The Farmers, the predecessor of Kurly, in 2014.
She quickly turned Market Kurly into a unicorn company with its Saetbyeol Delivery service, which delivers fresh food early in the morning.
She is pursuing an initial public offering to support Market Kurly’s sustainable growth.
She is working to secure new growth engines by expanding Kurly N Mart with Naver, acquiring artificial intelligence (AI) company Wonji Labs, and growing Kurly USA.
