Kim Byung-gyu is the CEO of Netmarble.
He concurrently serves in management advisory roles for HYBE and oversees local subsidiaries of Netmarble.
A former lawyer, he has focused on improving the company's profitability indicators and pursuing an aggressive strategy of launching new game titles.
He was born on May 8, 1974.
He graduated from the College of Law at Seoul National University. He passed the 47th National Bar Examination and completed the 38th class of the Judicial Research and Training Institute.
He began his professional career as an attorney at Seojeong Law Firm. He later moved to Samsung C&T, where he served as head of the legal team.
After joining Netmarble, he worked as Management Leader for Legal Affairs and Policy. He subsequently served as Executive Director in charge of Management Policy and Executive Vice President in charge of Legal Affairs at Netmarble before moving to Jarvis & Villains as Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and Vice President.
He returned to Netmarble and served as Executive Vice President and Management Leader overseeing Planning and Legal Affairs before being appointed CEO of Netmarble in March 2024.
He is regarded as one of Netmarble’s key strategic planning experts.
