In 1998, he joined Intek Engineering, the predecessor of Intekplus, as a senior researcher.

After serving as head of the research institute and chief technology officer (CTO), he was appointed CEO in 2015.

He took over management control after founder Lim Ssang-keun transferred most of his stake and retired.
