He is working to expand OCI Group’s business areas while focusing on building a global value chain in the solar power industry.

He was born on February 15, 1968, as the eldest of two sons and one daughter of Lee Soo-young, former chairman of OCI Group, and Kim Kyung-ja, chairwoman of the Songam Cultural Foundation.
He graduated from Hongik University High School and the Department of Chemical Engineering at Sogang University. He completed an MBA program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in the United States.

He worked at U.S. raw materials companies International Raw Materials and BT Wolfensohn. He served as a vice president at Hong Kong-based CSFB in the financial investment sector, and after working at Seoul Z Partners, joined Dongyang Chemical, now OCI, as an executive vice president and head of strategic planning.

After the company changed its name to OCI, he served as executive vice president in charge of overall business operations and became CEO and president in 2013.

He served as vice chairman of the Seoul Chamber of Commerce and Industry, vice chairman of the Korea International Trade Association, and chairman of the Korea-Malaysia Economic Cooperation Committee.

He has a strong interest in photography and has even held a photography exhibition.
