Lee Yong-bae is the CEO and President of Hyundai Rotem.
He was born on April 8, 1961.
He graduated from Youngrak Commercial High School in Seoul and earned a degree in Business Administration from Jeonju University. He also received a master’s degree in Financial Management from Kyung Hee University Graduate School of Business.
He began his career in the accounting department at Hyundai Precision, the predecessor of Hyundai Mobis.
Afterwards, he worked at Hyundai Motor Company as the Head of Management Planning and later as the Head of the Third Coordination Planning Office. He then moved to Hyundai WIA, where he served as Executive Vice President overseeing planning, finance, procurement, and overall business operations.
He later joined HMC Investment Securities as Executive Vice President in charge of sales, and was appointed CEO of the company in 2017.
Since 2020, he has been serving as the CEO of Hyundai Rotem and was reappointed in 2023.
He is recognized as one of Hyundai Motor Group’s leading financial experts, taking the lead in improving the company’s financial structure.
