Lee Young-jun is the CEO of Lotte Chemical and the President overseeing the entire chemical division of Lotte Group.

He took the helm of Lotte Group’s chemical division during a challenging period of continued operating losses and has since been focusing on restoring profitability.

Lee has been dedicated to transforming the company’s business structure from one centered on basic materials to high value-added sectors, including specialty chemicals.

He was born in September 1965.

Lee graduated from Korea University with a degree in chemical engineering and went on to earn both his master’s and doctoral degrees in polymer engineering from KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology).

He began his career at Samsung General Chemicals and later served as head of the Chemical Research Center at Cheil Industries and head of the PC Business Division at Samsung SDI before joining Lotte Group in 2016.

At Lotte Chemical, he served as Head of the Advanced Materials PC Business Division and CEO of Lotte Advanced Materials before being appointed CEO of Lotte Chemical and President of Lotte Group’s Chemical Division in 2024.
