Park Jong-moon is the President and CEO of Samsung Securities.
He has been expanding the company’s wealth management (WM) business by introducing specialized services targeting ultra-high-net-worth individuals.
He is also focusing on strengthening corporate sales to pursue balanced growth in the investment banking (IB) division.
Born in 1965, he graduated from Naeseong High School in Busan and earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Yonsei University. He later received a master’s degree in Financial Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).
Park began his career at Samsung Life Insurance, where he worked mainly in management support and asset management. He served as Head of CPC (Customer, Product, and Channel) Strategy, Head of the Financial Competitiveness Enhancement Task Force, and Head of the Asset Management Division.
In 2024, he was appointed President and CEO of Samsung Securities.
He took the helm as a relief pitcher when the company faced a net loss shock caused by the aftermath of the real estate project financing (PF) turmoil.
Despite being a leading investment bank, Samsung Securities had yet to enter the short-term note issuance market, and Park is now taking on that challenge.
