Sung Suk-je is the CEO and President of Jeil Pharmaceutical.

He is focused on increasing the share of internally developed products by establishing a subsidiary specializing in new drug development and forming partnerships with domestic biotech ventures.

He was born on December 27, 1960, in Cheongyang, South Chungcheong Province.

He graduated from Cheonan Jungang High School and earned a degree in Business Administration from Chungbuk National University. He later received a master's degree in Accounting from the Graduate School of Business at Hanyang University.

After working at Texas Instruments, he held several executive roles at Pfizer Korea, including Executive Director of Finance, Executive Vice President of Operations, and Executive Vice President of Sales and Labor Relations.

He joined Jeil Pharmaceutical in April 2005 and was appointed CEO and President.

From 2005 to 2023, he was successfully reappointed seven times, making him the longest-serving incumbent professional manager in Korea’s pharmaceutical industry.

He led Jeil Pharmaceutical’s external growth by introducing Pfizer’s products.

He enjoys strong trust from the company’s owner family, including Chairman Han Seung-soo and Vice President Han Sang-chul.

As of 2024, he is facing the burden of a sharp drop in sales and a significant return to losses, just one year after turning the company profitable.
