Yang Ki-won is CEO of Hanwha System.
He was born on May 20, 1970.
He graduated from Gunsan Dong High School in North Jeolla Province and Chung-Ang University with a degree in chemical engineering.
He joined Hanwha Chemical. He worked as head of the VCM Team at its Ningbo subsidiary in China and as head of the Business Development Team.
He moved to Hanwha Total (now Hanwha TotalEnergies), where he served as head of the Technology Planning Team at the Daesan Plant and was responsible for logistics. He returned to Hanwha Chemical as head of the Business Development Office before moving to Hanwha Solution, where he became head of the Strategic Planning Office in the Strategy Division.
After moving to Hanwha Corp.'s Global Division as head of business operations, he was appointed CEO of the Global Division in 2022. He served as CEO of Hanwha Momentum and head of Hanwha Impact's Business Division before taking office as CEO of Hanwha System in September 2026.
He is considered a close associate of Kim Dong-kwan, executive vice chairman of Hanwha Group.
Hanwha System is the first defense affiliate he has led as one of the group's key strategists.
