Life Summary
Yang Min-suk is the CEO of YG Entertainment (hereinafter YG).

He is the younger brother of Yang Hyun-suk, the founder and chief producer of YG.

Yang is currently focused on rebuilding YG's position as one of the “Big 3” entertainment companies in South Korea, following a period of sluggish performance.

He was born on August 16, 1973, in Jongno District, Seoul.

He graduated from Jungang High School in Seoul and majored in Economics at Myongji University. He also completed an MBA program at Yonsei University Graduate School of Business.

Yang Min-suk has led the company alongside his brother Yang Hyun-suk since 2001, when YG was still known as Yanggun Planning.

In 2019, he stepped down from his CEO position, taking responsibility alongside his brother following the Burning Sun scandal and the drug abuse case involving YG artist B.I.

In March 2022, he returned to the company’s leadership as an internal director and was appointed co-CEO with Hwang Bo-kyung in July of the same year. In March 2024, he became the sole CEO.

He is recognized as a "hidden architect" behind YG’s success, demonstrating strategic thinking in the entertainment business, artist branding, and building global networks.
